Draft Public Art Plan

Join us in celebrating our creative community and help shape the future of public art in Sutherland Shire!

Council has drafted the Public Art Plan 2025-2030 which outlines Council’s vision and strategy for integrating public art into our community.

The Plan aims to enhance the Sutherland Shire’s cultural landscape, create vibrant public spaces, and engage the community through diverse and inclusive art experiences.

There are four key focus areas in the Plan:

  • First Nations Heritage and Culture
  • Local History and Community
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Urban Activation.

Next steps

Following community consultation, Council will review and consider all feedback received. We may make some changes to the draft Plan before finalising it. The Plan will then be reported to Council for adoption. We will keep our community updated on progress.
