Sutherland Shire Council and landscape architects, Phillips Marler are preparing a Masterplan for Waratah Park in Sutherland to guide its future use and development.
Waratah Park includes Sutherland Leisure Centre, Sutherland Basketball Stadium, Sylvanvale Garden House, Bee Garden Museum and Education Centre, tennis courts, athletics field, baseball diamonds and sporting fields, cycling criterium track, mountain bike track, and bushland.
Council’s objective is to deliver a Masterplan for Waratah Park that will guide its future use and development to:
• optimise land use for various community, sport and recreational purposes
• protect and enhance the environmental and cultural values of the park and its local setting
The Masterplan will inform a Plan of Management for Waratah Park.
Consultation Period
To assist Council to ensure the draft Masterplan meet the needs of our community, we are seeking your feedback from 8 to 28 February 2021.
