Council is excited to advise you that work will soon start on the Kirrawee Centre Revitalisation Project.
We consulted with the community about how to improve facilities within the shopping precinct in Oak Road, Kirrawee in November 2019 and February - March 2020. We thank you for your feedback and this now forms part of our upgrade work.
Council is revitalising the shopping centre by including:
Seasonal banners for events and celebrations (complete)
Contemporary vibrant street art which reflects the renewed energy of the centre (complete)
Renewal of fairy lights to provide vibrancy at night time
Re-configured seating and new planted areas to beautify the centre
New lighting for the pedestrian crossing
More short term parking to improve accessibility (subject to approvals)
Wider footpaths across Oak Road Bridge to improve connections to the centre from SCATL, the new park and residents to the south (subject to approvals)
Signs at key entry points, where possible.
