Playground renewal - Prices Circuit Reserve, Woronora

Consultation period: 15 February to 14 March 2024

The existing swing set playground at Prices Circuit Reserve, Woronora was removed last year after damage from a storm. The playground is due for renewal and we are reviewing the suitability of this location. We understand the existing site is small, has limited access and lacks passive surveillance with limited visibility.

Council is proposing two alternative locations within the Reserve for the renewed playground. Both locations are well-suited for a local playground, are easy to access and have clear visibility from the street.

The two proposed locations are:

  • Proposed Location A: Prices Circuit further to the north of the existing playground and closer to the shopping complex carpark. The exact location will be determined following an assessment of trees.
  • Proposed Location B: Prices Circuit to the south of the Reserve where there is existing open space.

The proposed changes include:

  • Renewing the playground to either proposed location A or B within Prices Circuit Reserve, Woronora
  • Building a local playground at one of the proposed locations with an increased range of play equipment (climbing, sliding and swinging elements).

Have your say

To assist Council to finalise the location of the playground, we are seeking your feedback.

You can provide feedback until Thursday 14 March 2024:

  • Online by taking the survey below
  • Email OpenSpace@ssc.nsw.gov.au
  • In writing to Open Space Assets, Sutherland Shire Council, Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499.

Next steps

Following community feedback, Council will prepare a final location for the playground. We will update the community on the adopted location and start final designs. It is expected that work will start on the playground in the second half of 2024.
