Concept Design – Prices Circuit Reserve Playground, Woronora

Consultation period: 24 February to 25 March 2025

After consultation with our local community, Council is excited to provide an update on the playground renewal at Prices Circuit Reserve, Woronora.

Council has confirmed the final location for the playground as Proposed Location A: Prices Circuit further to the north of the existing playground and closer to the shopping complex carpark.

A Tree Assessment and Risk Assessment has been completed, which shows the preferrable location for the new playground is in the clearing amongst existing trees.

The proposed concept design includes:

  • A new playground with sliding, swinging and spinning/balancing equipment
  • New amenities including a picnic table and seating.

Community feedback helped shape this concept design as follows:

  • The location of the playground being closer to the carpark and shops and away from trees/falling branches
  • All trees will be retained and pruned for safety where necessary
  • Views to the river will be maintained as well as the peaceful character of the area through the choice of materials and colours
  • To mitigate the impacts of flooding, the playground will be raised slightly with a synthetic grass softfall surface.
