Shaping the Cronulla Place Plan

Our centres play a vital everyday role as places where our community lives, shops, works, relaxes and connects.

Cronulla is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant public spaces, diverse mix of businesses and unique local character.

We want to build on these strengths while identifying areas for improvement.

Place Plans play an important role in this process, helping to set a clear vision for how our town centres grow and change over time.

We are in the early stages of preparing a draft Place Plan for Cronulla which will provide a clear and coordinated framework to guide future growth and infrastructure opportunities.

The plan will set a clear direction for how the centre works, including how people move through it, how spaces are used, and where improvements may be needed.

A key focus of the plan will be to examine opportunities for additional housing and jobs and putting the right infrastructure in place to support growth.

There’s lots happening in Cronulla

A number of projects are underway or being prepared for consultation across Cronulla. Together, these projects look at how Cronulla can continue to be a liveable, vibrant and safe place for everyone.

This may include improved streetscapes, pedestrian and transport connections and open space, and other actions needed to support Cronulla’s proposed role as a Special Entertainment Precinct.

We understand there is a lot to keep track of. Council is working to better coordinate these projects, so information is clear and easy to find.
