We're excited to advise you of the proposed name for the new park at Miranda that opened to the community in October 2021. The park is located at the end of University Road, adjacent to the railway line and a short walk to Westfield.
Community consultation in 2020 received strong support for an Indigenous name.
'Gudyimburr Park' has been proposed, in consultation with key stakeholders.Gudyimburr means Red Gum in Dharawal language - acknowledging the large Forest Red Gum in the park which is an indigenous species to the area.
