Dunningham Park Playground and Picnic upgrade, Cronulla

We are excited to let you know that Council is planning to upgrade the playground and picnic area at Dunningham Park, Cronulla. We know the playground at Dunningham Park is well used and much loved! Upgrading the area will improve the condition, safety and recreational qualities of the playground and surrounding park area.
The opportunities include:
- Upgrade of existing play equipment
- Increase the range of play equipment catering to a wider range of ages
- Improve the play area, softfall material and overall space
- Safety improvements within and around the playground
- Additional seating and picnic tables
- Improvements to lighting
- Access improvements to meet all abilities
- Drainage improvements and landscaping.

To assist Council to prepare plans for the playground and ensure it meets the needs of our community, we are seeking feedback on how you currently use the area and what improvements would be best suited for the playground.

Next steps
Following community feedback, Council will prepare a final design for the playground and surrounding park area. We will keep the community updated of progress. It is expected that work will start at Dunningham Park in winter 2023.
