Work starting - Dunningham Park Playground and Picnic upgrade

Council is excited to share that work is starting on a new playground and upgraded picnic area at Dunningham Park, Cronulla.

We consulted with the community about the existing playground at Dunningham Park in August-September 2022. We thank you for your feedback that has helped shape this exciting new play space.

The work includes:

• New playground tailored to the Cronulla local environment, featuring a central lifeguard tower with climbing and slides
• Improved range of play equipment catering to a wider range of ages and suited to all abilities
• Larger range of swings
• Softfall material and play area
• New seating and picnic tables
• Lighting improvements
• Landscaping.

Construction timing

Work will start from February 2024 and be completed in July 2024 (weather permitting).

Work hours

Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm, and occasional Saturday work between 8am and 1pm. No work will take place on public holidays.

During construction there will be increased noise. Some sections of Dunningham Park will be unavailable.
