Active and Public Transport Draft Strategies
Consultation has concluded
Consultation period: 30 May to 27 June 2022
Council has developed draft Active Transport and Public Transport strategies. The two strategies establish a framework and include clear recommendations to reflect the evolving demands and requirements for active (walking and cycling) and public transport in the Sutherland Shire.
Last year, Council asked for community input into the strategies, the results of that consultation can be found here. We are now seeking your feedback on the draft strategies.
The objectives of Active Transport Strategy:
- Increase the current active transport mode share of all daily trips taken across Sutherland Shire by 25% by 2030
- A safe, connected, accessible active transport network
The objectives of Public Transport Strategy:
- Increase the current public transport mode share of all daily trips taken across the Sutherland Shire by 35% by 2030
- An improved public transport customer experience
