Cooper Street Reserve, Engadine Masterplan

Consultation period: 19 July to 13 August 2021

In September last year Council initially consulted with the community about Cooper Street Reserve, Engadine for three separate projects in the planning stages - the proposed Masterplan, All-Abilities Playground and Active Sports Youth Precinct.

Feedback we received has helped shape the development of our draft Masterplan for Cooper Street Reserve.

The vision for Cooper Street Reserve is to create a vibrant, connected and safe destination park that will provide the community with diverse recreation needs now and in future.

The key features of the draft Masterplan for Cooper Street Reserve include:

  • A new all-abilities playground replacing the existing play-space
  • An active sports youth precinct, including the construction of a new skate park replacing the existing skate bowl, multi-court and outdoor exercise equipment
  • A village green for large events
  • Park facilities including additional picnic settings and shelters and/or BBQ
  • Upgrading the parking along Cooper Street and the skate park car park
  • Space for community bus parking in Cooper Street
  • Upgrading the existing toilets
  • Improved entry and fencing
  • Improved path network within the reserve
  • Footpath improvements to better connect the reserve for pedestrians and cyclists.

The draft Masterplan also considers how these key features will be prioritised for the short, medium and long term.
