Waratah Park Playground - Now open

We’re pleased to share that the new all-abilities playground at Waratah Park is now officially open to the public.

This vibrant new play space has been thoughtfully designed in line with Sutherland Shire Council’s Open Space and Play Strategies, ensuring it meets the needs of local families and children of all ages and abilities.

The design was directly shaped by the feedback we received from the community—your input helped guide key features ensuring the space reflects local needs, values and aspirations.

The playground celebrates the unique character of Waratah Park, with a blend of natural materials, accessible play equipment, and creative landscaping that encourages both imaginative and active play. With convenient access from the car park and nearby community bus stops, the facility has been designed to support comfort, accessibility and participation for all members of the community.
