Park upgrade at University Road, Miranda

Consultation has concluded

Council is excited to announce that we are planning to upgrade the public park located at University Road, Miranda in 2020-21. The upgrade aims to provide a welcoming, safe and comfortable local park for residents in adjacent units and nearby streets.

As part of the upgrade we are proposing to provide flat grassed areas, seating and opportunities for art and play. We have prepared two examples of concept designs to show how the park could look. One example provides more accessibility and opportunities for outdoor games including basketball, ping pong and handball. Another example provides more flat grassed areas for exercise, casual ball games and picnics.

EXAMPLES OF CONCEPT DESIGNS

The view of the park is looking north from the rail line.

Construction is planned to start in early 2021, with further details and the final design to be provided closer to the start of work.
