Why is this upgrade work being done?
Our community strongly values open spaces. Council provides more than 140 playgrounds in the Sutherland Shire Community. Our aim is to ensure that play facilities are modern, fun and safe spaces for everyone to enjoy.
The playground at Old School Park, has been identified for upgrade to ensure it meets Council's standards.
Will the park still have green / open space?
Yes, the design will retain as much of the existing open grassed area as possible.
When will work start?
It is expected work will start at Old School Park, Gymea by mid 2022.
When will the toilets be upgraded?
The upgrade to the toilet facilities are part of a separate project and scheduled to start in 2022.
