FAQ
Is this different to the park at South Village?
The community park at South Village was opened in November 2019.
The park features play equipment that caters for a wide range of ages and abilities, a circular bicycle path for young children, grassed parkland surrounded by accessible pathways, picnic facilities, shade structure, an amphitheatre, seating and trees for shade.
The new park on Oak Road is planned nearby to provide additional open space and opportunities for recreation for our Kirrawee community.
What will happen to the existing dwelling on the property?
Council will demolish the existing dwelling by mid 2020.
What are development contributions?
Section 94 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 enables local councils or other consent authorities to levy monetary contributions for public amenities required as a consequence of development. These contributions are essential in maintaining access to the facilities and services that support the high quality of life that residents of Sutherland Shire enjoy.
