Why is the Library doing a Customer Survey?
The Library Service is a part of the local Sutherland Shire community, aiming to meet and reflect the needs of everyone that lives here. Sutherland Shire Libraries' mission is to make sure everyone has access to information and opportunities for leisure and lifelong learning.
It does this by seeking out and developing the best ways to:
- be a welcoming, accessible space to be shared and used by the whole community,
- provide equitable access to inspiring, relevant and responsive physical and digital collections—books, audiobooks, children’s literacy resources, music and movies—for young and old;
- connect with the community and connect the community with each other with a huge range of events and programs for all ages that aim to be inclusive, high quality, informative and fun; and
- make innovative and emerging technology, quality information and research resources, accessible to everyone.
Customer Survey is one of the ways to make sure we are achieving these aims and
whether there are ways we can do them better. This is the third survey conducted by Sutherland Shire Libraries since 2016. To see how the library responded and acted on results from previous surveys, click on this news update.
