Playground Renewal 2022 - Glencoe Street Reserve

Sutherland Shire Council is planning to update and relocate the playground at Glencoe Street Reserve, Sutherland.

We aim for these improvements to cater for a variety of ages and assist our community to enjoy an active life connected to nature both now and into the future. To assist Council to finalise the planned update, we are seeking your feedback.


Glencoe Street Reserve, Sutherland changes

Council is proposing the following changes to update the reserve and playground:

  • Build a new facility in a new location within the reserve south (down the hill) of the existing playground
  • Upgrade playground equipment and introduce diverse play equipment for a variety of ages and abilities
  • Improve playground surfaces (synthetic grass and mulch)

  • Extend bike pathways / walking track

  • Introduce additional seating

In addition, a new path and fencing will be installed on the Glencoe Street and President Avenue frontages to improve accessibility and safety.

Construction is due to commence in early 2022.
