Council has adopted new developer contribution plans, Sutherland Shire Section 94 Plan 2016 and Sutherland Shire Section 94A Plan 2016.  The plans will operate for a ten year period from 2016-2026, and will replace the S94 and S94A developer contribution plans which currently apply.

The adoption of the Sutherland Shire Local Environmental Plan 2015 has resulted in increased development of new dwellings in the Sutherland Shire. There will be a corresponding increase in population, particularly in the main centres and residential flat zones.

Sporting facilities and regional parks need to be enlarged and improved to cater for this increased population. Residential amenity in centres is also dependent on having access to local open space.

The proposed new developer contribution plans will ensure that future residents’ infrastructure needs are planned for and funded.
