The Sutherland Shire Crime Prevention Plan 2018 - 2021 reflects the collaboration of Council, NSW Police and community stakeholders to make the Shire a safer place to live, work and play.

The two focus crime categories for the Draft Plan are:

  1. Malicious Damage to Property – Graffiti.

  2. Assault - Domestic Violence related.

Although very different in nature, these crime areas share a complex, cyclical nature and are likely to be significantly under-reported. Due to under reporting, the prevalence of these offences is likely to be higher than what the statistics indicate.
