Alcohol Free Zone at Woolooware

Consultation period: 6 June 2025 – 6 July 2025
Council is seeking feedback on a proposed new Alcohol Free Zone at Woolooware north of the Sharks Leagues Club to help manage concerns about alcohol-related antisocial behaviour in the area.
The Local Government Act allows Councils to create Alcohol Free Zones (AFZs), which restrict the consumption of alcohol in public places like roads, footpaths, and public car parks.
AFZ’s help keep our public spaces safer by stepping in early, before street drinking can turn into incidents involving serious crime. These zones are designated for four years and are reviewed and renewed as required.
