Getting Around - Draft Footpath Provision and Management Policy

Consultation has concluded

This engagement is now closed.

You're invited to take a look at our new draft footpath policy. It's been developed to provide an effective approach to why, where and when we maintain and build footpaths in the Shire.

The draft Footpath Provision & Management Policy is being prepared to manage development of new paved footpaths and renewal of existing footpaths.

Footpaths are an important local asset that enable us all to get around to Shire to do those everyday things like walk to the shops, school and walk for recreation. Walking reduces the number of car trips and is good for our health and the environment. We want our assets to be sustainable, convenient and safe.

This policy will guide how we prioritise projects for inclusion in Council’s Footpath Construction Program.

You can view the Draft Footpath Provision and Management Policy in the Document Library.

We value your comments and contribution toward development of this draft Policy.
