Project update April 2024

Thank you for providing feedback on the playground renewal for Australia Road Bushland Reserve in May-June 2023. Your input has informed the final location and design for the renewed playground.

We can confirm the location for the playground in Australia Road Bushland Reserve will be further to the east of the existing playground. In our consultation this location was shown as ‘Location A’. This was the most supported location following feedback received from the consultation, with 60% of participants preferring this location.

This location provides clear visibility from the street and is well suited to a local playground. The renewed playground will include:

  • Increased range of play equipment
  • Sandstone wall around the play area
  • Seating
  • Landscaping.

Work is planned to start on the renewed playground in the second half of this year.

Please note that the existing playground at Australia Road Bushland Reserve will remain open until the playground in the new location is completed.
