Council is seeking feedback about a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) created in association with a development at 67 Gerrale Street, Cronulla.
The development is being completed by South Cronulla Property Group Unit Trust as approved under Development Application DA22/0419. The development includes the demolition of existing structures and construction of a mixed-use residential building on the site, in a staged approach. The development is currently under construction.
The VPA proposes to:
Relocate the substation from Beach Park Avenue to the basement of the new building on site at 67 Gerrale Street
Provide public domain improvements along Beach Park Avenue, between Surf Lane and Gerrale Street, with new paving, planting and outdoor dining opportunities
Pedestrian crossing upgrade on Surf Lane to meet current standards and better alignment.
Relocate the sculpture from Beach Park Avenue to Ocean Grove.
These changes offer the following public benefits:
Creating a high quality and active streetscape, including outdoor dining, along Beach Park Avenue
Deliver a modern and safe pedestrian link from Cronulla station to Cronulla Beach.
Have your say
