Planning for Sylvania Waters - Taren Point Recreation Precinct

Council is preparing a master plan for the Sylvania Waters-Taren Point Recreation Precinct. The master plan is a design vision that identifies short, medium and long-term priorities for improvements at the site.

The area includes Sylvania Waters Recreation Precinct, Apsley Place Reserve and Gwawley Park - a connected network of sporting fields, reserves and recreation spaces that support local, district and specialty use.

We’re seeking community and stakeholder feedback to help us understand:

  • how the precinct is currently used

  • what works well and what could be improved

  • what priorities should guide future planning

Complete the short survey

The master plan will align with Council’s strategies and continue to support and strengthen our Sutherland Shire community’s participation and involvement in sport and recreational activities. Key aims include improvements to the amenity, safety and functionality of the site for all sporting clubs and community user groups.
