Sylvania Library - Proposed Change of Opening Days

Council regularly reviews library opening hours across all its branches, taking into consideration feedback from the community as well community usage and patterns of attendance.
A review has been undertaken of the opening hours of the Sylvania Library and the following changes are being proposed:
That the library be open Tuesday - Saturdays (inclusive) and closed on Sunday and Monday
That the library opens on a Tuesday - with morning or afternoon hours determined by community preference
Sylvania Library opens for 21 hours each week and it is important to note that the intention is not to reduce hours but move the current Monday opening to a Tuesday, resulting in the library being opened Tuesday to Saturday inclusive.
The proposed change aims to provide the Sylvania community with a library service that is open across successive days and it is anticipated that this will assist with community awareness and certainty of library opening days.
