Council is proposing to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility in Surf Lane, Cronulla. Surf Lane has become a key area for pedestrian access in Cronulla with new developments, cafes and restaurants facing the laneway. Improvements will ensure pedestrians, trucks and other vehicles can make best use of the limited space in this area.
We are proposing new footpaths along the eastern side of Surf Lane to provide a safer and more accessible environment for pedestrians, particularly our more vulnerable members of our community.
You can see the proposed footpath locations in our maps section.
The proposed footpaths will require the removal of seven existing time-limited parking spaces in Surf Lane. To address this we are proposing to introduce some additional time-limited parking in nearby streets. You can see the proposed changes to parking in our maps section.
