Sutherland Shire Council, with support from Transport for NSW's Boating Now program, is proposing to upgrade the boat ramp at Sandy Point.
What's changing?
The upgrade is to improve:
functionality and safety for current users,
access for emergency services and local/recreational use,
foreshore infrastructure to support recreational boating experiences.
There is no proposed change to parking or road access.
Council has prepared a concept design and we are now seeking feedback on the design from the local community.
Following public consultation and a review of the feedback, Council will finalise the design and inform the community. Construction is expected to start in Autumn 2022.
