Draft Safer Communities Strategy

Consultation has concluded

A woman carries a child and holds the hand of another. She has her back to us as she heads to a playground.

Council has considered feedback received and developed a Draft Safer Communities Strategy that is now available for comment.

The Strategy has been informed by community feedback from our earlier Safer Communities survey, and outlines key outcomes that will contribute to enhancing the safety, security and wellbeing of those who visit, live and work in Sutherland Shire. This Strategy also directly aligns to our Community Strategic Plan.

Council aims to provide welcoming, safe and accessible places and spaces that encourage active lifestyles. We work collaboratively with external agencies and community groups to deliver our community vision of a safer Sutherland Shire.
