Revenue Management Policies

Consultation has concluded

Council has undertaken a review of its Rates Recovery & Hardship Policy and in order to create clarity for customers and support effective implementation, has divided this into two new and seperate policies:

1. Debt Recovery & Hardship Policy; ensure effective controls and procedures are in place with respect to the collection of any outstanding debts owed to Council.

2. Pensioner Rates Policy; covers all aspects of Council rates and charges for eligible pensioners.

Relevant sections of State Government legislation and guidelines have been taken into account in developing these new policies and neither policy will impose a higher standard or allow a lower standard than under the existing policy.

We are seeking feedback from our community on these draft policies, which are available in the document library to the right. Consultation is open from 24 September until 22 October 2019

Feedback can be submitted through the online submission link below, or by post to:

Sutherland Shire Council, Finance Team

Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499.
