Public Domain Design Manual - Draft for Public Comment

Consultation has concluded

Council would like your comments on the draft Sutherland Shire Public Domain Design Manual (the PDDM).

The PDDM is Council’s first comprehensive reference document for the design of the Shire’s public areas. As such, the PDDM will have a strong influence on the future look and feel of the Shire’s streets, parks and open spaces.

The PDDM will provide Council staff and consultants with best practice principles, guidelines and technical information for public domain design. It functions like a “one-stop-shop”, consolidating Council’s various requirements for public domain development in a single, easy to access resource. It is to be used as an advisory document, with all designs subject to Council approval on a project by project basis.

Implementation of the PDDM will help Council deliver infrastructure to a high standard of design quality and more efficiently, including a more efficient approval process for works within the road generated by development applications.

The PDDM will be exhibited online and at Council’s Customer Service Area, located on the Ground Floor, Administration Building, Eton Street, Sutherland until 17 February 2015.
