Draft Property Strategy and Implementation Plan 2022-2032
Consultation period: 2 May to 30 May 2022
We have drafted our Property Strategy and Implementation Plan 2022-2032, which applies to all Council property assets (land and buildings); that are either Council owned or managed (including Crown land). Council is responsible for the management of 245 properties including land and built assets across the 370 square kilometres of the local government area, and a portfolio that includes community and sporting facilities, parks, Crown Reserves and commercial property.
Many of Council’s services to our community are delivered either directly or indirectly through the property portfolio, and a significant portion of Council’s budget is spent on operating, improving, or renewing the assets within the portfolio for the benefit of our community.
Implementation of the Property Strategy will enable us to optimise the value and benefits of our property assets to assist with the realisation of the service delivery objectives identified in our Community Strategic Plan.
Our Focus
Portfolio Management
Strategic use of Property
Commercial activation of Council land
