Tell us what will make Sutherland Shire the best place for you in 2032!

We’d love school students of the Shire to share what you want the future to be like in ten years time (2032), and by entering you can win a prize.

Primary students

Draw a picture of what you want your future to be like on the postcard template in the document folder.

High schools students

Write a page about how you imagine your best future in ten years (up to 300 words) and fill in the attached form.


Submit your entry via:

• Upload at the form below or

• Email to postcards@ssc.nsw.gov.au with your name, school, school year and a contact phone number or

• Post to Future Postcards, Sutherland Shire Council, Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499


Entries now close Monday 22 November 2021. A $100 gift voucher will be given for a winner and a $50 voucher for the runner up of each of the below stages :

• Primary stage 1 (Kinder, Year 1 & 2) stage 2 (Year 3& 4) and stage 3 (Year 5& 6)

• High school stage 4 (Year 7 & 8) , stage 5 (Year 9 & 10) and stage 6 (Year 11 or 12)

Next steps

Between 15 to 30 November a panel of judges will assess the entries and consider a number of criteria including: relevance, originality, writing style and/or overall effect.

Winners will be announced and the prizes presented electronically during the week of Monday 30 November 2021.
