Council has reviewed and updated the following policies and would like your feedback:

Hazelhurst Arts Centre Exhibition Policy Review

Council has reviewed and updated the Hazelhurst Arts Centre Exhibition Policy. This policy provides guidance for developing the exhibition program for the Hazelhurst Arts Centre.

Hazelhurst Arts Centre delivers a diverse exhibition program of local, state, and national significance, catering to all age groups and supported by education and public programs.

Pesticide Use Notification Plan Review

Council has reviewed and updated the Pesticide Use Notification Plan. This plan explains how pesticides are used in public spaces that Council owns and manages across the Sutherland Shire.

We use pesticides in outdoor public spaces to control pests like plants, animals, insects, fungi and bacteria, to ensure our facilities meet the needs of our community as well as legal obligations.

Investment Policy Review

Council has reviewed and updated its Investment Policy. This Policy provides the framework for the investment of surplus funds, maintaining Council’s liquidity requirements for operational needs and optimised investment return.

Draft Tower Crane Policy

The Draft Tower Crane Policy and Schedules outlines the approval process for installing, operating, and maintaining tower cranes, ensuring safety and accessibility for both the public and workers around construction sites.

The Policy applies to the installation and operation of tower cranes which, while carrying out hoisting and slewing activities, will overhang or weathervane over Public Land and Roads.
