Playground renewal Croston Road Reserve and improvements for Brigalow Place Reserve, Engadine

Consultation has concluded

We’re happy to let our community know that we are renewing the playground at Croston Road Reserve and providing improvements to Brigalow Place Reserve, Engadine.

We consulted with our community in October-November 2025 regarding renewal of the playground at Brigalow Place and consolidating it with Croston Road Reserve. We heard from our community that both playgrounds were highly used and loved by many local young families.

Following review of feedback received, Council has decided to keep both playgrounds – renewing the playground at Croston Road and making improvements to Brigalow Place Reserve. Community feedback helped shape this decision, ensuring these spaces remain much-loved local spaces for years to come.

We have prepared a concept design for Croston Road Reserve playground to give it a bright new future. The design includes:

  • New playground equipment
  • Increased range of play equipment
  • Improved softfall material
  • New seating and shade structure.

We’ll be providing improvements to Brigalow Place Reserve focusing on safety, amenity and overall experience for users of the park. This will include:

  • New seating, drinking fountain, footpaths and shade structure
  • Landscaping and tree planting for natural shade.

We’re now seeking feedback on the playground renewal at Croston Road and improvements at Brigalow Place to make sure our plans suit community needs. You can provide feedback until 30 April 2026:

Next steps

Following community consultation, Council will review and consider all feedback received. We will then prepare final designs for the playground and reserve. We expect the playground upgrade and improvement work will start in the second half of 2026. We will keep our community updated of progress.
