Planning for Sutherland Shire Centenary Park, Miranda

New park concept

Consultation period: 17 February - 17 March 2026

Sutherland Shire Centenary Park at 66-74 Karimbla Rd in Miranda is a valued local space with walking paths, play areas, picnic spots and landscaped areas.

The park is enjoyed by local families and the wider community year-round, and we know some of its play equipment and existing facilities need some love and attention.

We are proposing upgrades to improve the condition of the park and make it safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for everyone.

We want to hear from the community to help us understand:

  • what renewed play equipment and facilities are needed
  • how to provide play spaces for a wider range of age groups and abilities
  • how safety and access can be improved across the park.

Have your say

We’re seeking feedback on how the area is currently used and what improvements would be best suited for the park until 17 March 2026:

  • Online via our survey below
  • In person at our Pop-Up Information Stalls at the Park on:
    • Wednesday 25 February (10am-12pm)
    • Saturday 7 March (9.30-12.30pm).

Drop in anytime to chat to the project team.

  • Email to the Infrastructure Project Planning Team: IPPTeam@ssc.nsw.gov.au(External link)
  • In writing to Infrastructure Project Planning Team, Sutherland Shire Council, Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499.

Next steps

Council will review and consider all feedback received. We will then prepare a draft design for the park and play spaces. When the draft design is ready, we will share it with our community and seek feedback before it is finalised.
