Planning for Shelly Park Playground, Cronulla

Shelly Park in Cronulla is a much-loved community space featuring a large, fenced playground, popular with young families.

With multiple play areas and a liberty swing, the playground is enjoyed by our community year-round. We’re now looking to upgrade it to make it a safer, more enjoyable space for all.

We want to hear from our community to help us understand:

• opportunities for improvement
• how to provide play spaces for a wider range of age groups and abilities
• how safety and access can be improved across the park.

Next steps

Council will review and consider all feedback received. We will then prepare a draft design for the playground. When the draft design is ready (expected 2027), we will share it with our community and seek feedback before it is finalised.
