Planning for Oak Park and Shelly Beach Buildings Renewal
We’re excited to share that Council is planning renewal work at Cronulla’s Oak Park Pavilion and Shelly Beach Pavilion.
We know these iconic beachfront buildings are well-loved spots for locals and visitors to enjoy outdoor activities. They also hold significant local heritage value.
Renewal work aims to improve the amenity, accessibility, and safety of these sites, while preserving their original character.
Shelly Beach Pavilion, picnic shelter, dressing shelter, ocean pool ramp and pathway connections between these structures.
These enhancements will extend the life and value of the facilities, ensuring they continue to serve and be enjoyed by the community for years to come.
Have your say
To assist Council to prepare plans for this work, and ensure it meets the needs of our community, we are seeking feedback on how you would like to use them for recreational activities.
In writing to Infrastructure Project Planning Team, Sutherland Shire Council, Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499.
Next steps
Council will review and consider all feedback received. Your suggestions will help inform the development of a draft design for the buildings. When a draft design is finalised we will make this available to the community and seek further feedback. We expect this will be in mid 2025.
