Update on new library opening hours

The new opening hours for our libraries were adopted at the August 2024 Council meeting. They will come into effect in January 2025.

Based on your feedback, some revisions were made to the proposed opening hours, including:

• Increasing the number of late nights at Cronulla library from one to two nights
• Changing which weekday Caringbah and Menai libraries are open late
• Closing Bundeena library later on Mondays in favour of opening later on Saturdays
• Later opening and closing times at Sutherland library on Sundays.

We will continue to monitor visitor trends after the new opening hours have been implemented and investigate options for out-of-hours access at other libraries in Sutherland Shire.
