Draft Leisure Centre Strategy and Implementation Plan 2023-2038
Consultation has concluded
Sutherland Shire Council is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our community. We have drafted a Leisure Centre Strategy and Implementation Plan that sets a framework for creating an active, safe, healthy, vibrant and liveable region over the next 15 years.
The existing facilities included in this Strategy are Sutherland Leisure Centre, Sutherland Indoor Sports Stadium, Caringbah Leisure Centre, Engadine Leisure Centre, Menai Indoor Sports Centre and Como Pool.
We have been consulting the community and stakeholders over the past few years to develop a draft strategy that provides a long-term approach to improving our network of leisure facilities.
The Strategy is based on the following three areas of focus, each with a series of short, medium and long-term recommendations:
Industry leading facilities
Community engagement and activation
Evidence-based products and services.
View the detailed plans in the full Strategy document or the one-page Summary, found in the Documents section.
