Kareela Creek Reserve Masterplan – inc. Kareela Flying Fox Camp - Sept 2020

Consultation Period - 28 September to 23 October 2020

Background

Kareela Creek Reserve is a public reserve located within the Sutherland Shire. It is an open space of important social and recreational value, with complex natural ecosystems and significant open space areas for the local community. The portion of the reserve that is the subject of this draft Masterplan is located adjacent to low density residential properties, two schools and Bates Drive to the north.

The draft Masterplan provides a range of short-term, medium-term and long-term recommendations for the Reserve which have been determined in collaboration with council staff and consideration of the outcomes from previous community consultation. Recommendations are focussed on access and circulation works, public landscape infrastructure works, hydraulics works, and ecological works.

Consultation Period

To assist Council to ensure the draft Masterplan meet the needs of our community, we are seeking your feedback from 28 September to 23 October 2020.
