Has the community been consulted previously about the cliff top walk at Hungry Point Reserve?
During the preperation of the Strategic Masterplan for Hungry Point Reserve the local community was consulted. The cliff top walk is one component of the overarching masterplan for the area.
Who owns the land at Hungry Point?
Hungry Point Reserve is Crown land. It is managed by the Hungry Point Reserve Land Manager under the Crown Land Management Act 2016.
When will the cliff top walk be built?
The State Government has provided a $2 million grant to the Hungry Point Reserve Land Manager to progress the cliff top walk further. This will include incorporating community feedback, completing the final design, applying for the regulatory approvals and studies and constructing part of the walkway.
What is Council's role in the project?
Sutherland Shire Council is providing the Hungry Point Reserve Land Manager with project delivery support for this exciting project.
