Consultation results for Draft Plan of Management for Gunnamatta Park
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on this consultation.
A few things we heard from our community included feedback about:
- Safety and accessibility
- Maintenance of the park
- Use of key facilities
- Conservation and heritage.
Some concerns were also raised about the use and future development of specific facilities.
We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the functions of a Plan of Management (PoM). A PoM regulates the use of community land at the highest strategic level, separate to a Master Plan or Project Design. We’ve put together the graphic below to help distinguish between the different types of planning and design documents that Council uses.
More information about what a Plan of Management includes is available on our Join the Conversation page and FAQs here.
Council will be looking at key facilities within Gunnamatta Park such as upgrade of the Gunnamatta Pavilion and playground as part of our ongoing delivery program. We will consult with key stakeholders and members of our community to get seek feedback for future improvements.
We reviewed and considered all community feedback received. The Draft Plan of Management for Gunnamatta Park will now be considered by Council at its upcoming meeting on Monday 24 March 2025. The Council business paper is available on our website here.
