Sutherland Shire Council is committed to a high standard of ethical and accountable conduct and will support and protect the reporting of wrongdoing. We have zero-tolerance of fraudulent or corrupt conduct.

We have reviewed and updated our Fraud and Corruption Prevention Policy. The purpose of the Policy is to set clear expectations of Councillors, employees, Council contractors and the wider public about prevention, detection, investigation and management of fraud and corruption.

Following community consultation, Council will review and consider all feedback. Some changes may be made to the Policy. It will then be finalised and reported to Council for adoption. We will keep interested members of the community updated.

    All feedback was reviewed and considered by Council. The revised Policy was adopted by Council on 11 November 2024. The final Fraud and Corruption Prevention Policy is now available on our website.
