Will there be a boat ramp at the reserve?
A boat ramp will not be included at the reserve as the area is too shallow and does not comply with the NSW Maritime guidelines for boat ramps.
Will there be a playground at the reserve?
A playground will not be included at the reserve. The site is not suitable for a playground due to its size, location to water as well as the endangered environment and Aboriginal heritage features.
How is Council ensuring the Aboriginal cultural heritage is protected?
The designs for the reserve will be taken to the Aboriginal Advisory Committee for review and approval. Council will ensure the Aboriginal cultural heritage is protected based on advice from the Committee and will promote the history through interpretive signage at the reserve.
When will the reserve be improved and open to the public?
It is expected that work on improving the reserve will start in late 2021 and take a few months to complete. The site would then be open for community use.
