Fees and Charges Amendments

Since our current schedule of fees and charges was adopted in June 2026, there have been reforms to NSW Government legislation and policy that have created new or expanded responsibilities for Council.

We are proposing amendments to our fees and charges to cover:

  • shared e-micromobility (such as e-bikes and e-scooters)
  • electric vehicle charging infrastructure
  • local environmental plan-making
  • Housing Delivery Authority and State Significant Development pathways.

We are also seeking to introduce a charge for pre-lodgement advice for development applications for single dwellings, to partially recover the cost of providing this service. This service is currently free.

The proposed fees aim to recover costs associated with delivering these new services, assessments and uses of Council-managed land and have been benchmarked against comparable NSW councils. The draft fees and charges can be viewed in the document library. All other fees and charges will remain the same.

Following community consultation, Council will review and consider all feedback. The new fees and charges will then be finalised and reported to Council for adoption in December 2026. We will keep interested members of the community updated.
