Planning for Community Venues Strategy

Community venues, like our community centres, meeting spaces and leased spaces play a critical role for Sutherland Shire’s community to connect, learn, play, celebrate and access services and programs.

They support our health and well-being, build a stronger community and local economy, and are at the heart of our everyday life.

As our population grows and changes, so do our needs and interests. To ensure we have the community spaces that respond to local needs and interests, Council is preparing a Community Venues Strategy.

This Strategy will guide how we plan for, deliver, and manage our community venues for the next 10 years. It covers all Council community facilities, including our leased facilities, but will primarily focus on our 33 Council-owned halls and venues.
