SSLEP2015 AMENDMENT NO. 22 CAME INTO EFFECT ON 26 March 2021

4 November 2020 to 6 January 2021

As its meeting of 29 June 2020 (PLN015-20) and 19 October 2020 (PLN046-20) Council resolved to prepare draft amendments to both the Sutherland Shire Local Environmental Plan 2015 (SSLEP2015) and Sutherland Shire Development Control Plan (SSDCP2015).

The SSLEP2015 amendment seeks to increase the floor space ratio applying to land at 138-144 Cronulla (Lot 1-4 DP 18461) from 2:1 to 2.9:1, subject to the entire building being for the purpose of commercial premises. The SSDCP2015 amendment includes controls for an alternate built form, for a wholly commercial building. The maximum building height controls in SSLEP2015 and SSDCP2015 are not proposed to be changed.

The exhibition of the Planning Proposal and DCP amendment has been extended to 6 January 2021. Additional maps have been added to the exhibited material (land zoning, height of buildings, and heritage maps) to provide a better contextual understanding for the community. The documents can be viewed on Council websites via Join the Conversation.
