    Creating identity and a sense of place is important to planning quality open spaces. When you think of Caringbah, what features or qualities of the suburb come to mind, that you'd like to see expressed in the new park?

    The park should be very well-shaded with lots of benches for people to sit and enjoy the open space.

    Also consider planting dense bushes to block out some of the noise of traffic from the Kingsway, but still provide a pedestrian entrance along the footpath on Kingsway.

    Make sure to get rid of the existing carpark on the land.

    We need as much open space as possible, so make sure to get rid of the existing carpark. There is already enough car parking for other needs along Willarong road, and this open space doesn't need parking as it should only be for local use where people will walk to it.
