Draft Community Plan - Towards 2035
We’ve drafted our Community Plan, outlining the long-term plan for Sutherland Shire’s future. It sets out our community’s vision, aspirations and priorities for the next 10 years, along with strategies for achieving them. We want Sutherland Shire to continue being a community where life thrives!
Our Community Plan is reviewed every four years, acting as the guide for planning and prioritising services and resources as well as our detailed four-year Delivery Program and annual Operational Plan.
The draft Plan has been shaped in partnership with our community – your voices, feedback and ideas have guided the aspirations of this Plan.
Our vision
A connected and safe community that respects people and nature, enjoying active lives in a strong local economy.
To achieve our vision, the Community Plan identifies four key themes underpinned by a fifth, Council’s leadership role:
- Natural and Sustainable
- Active and Vibrant
- Prosperous and Connected
- Planned and Liveable
- Trusted Leadership.
