What is a Masterplan?
A masterplan is a planning document that helps us establish the future vision for the reserve, prioritise and coordinate future work and forecast budget allocations. This ensures the reserve meets the needs of the community.
Will there be an opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Masterplan?
Following this consultation, Council will review the feedback received and prepare the draft Masterplan. The draft Masterplan will be available for the community to review and provide feedback early in 2022.
When will work start at Don Lucas Reserve?
Work will be prioritised according to the short, medium and long-term goals set out in the Masterplan. The first stage of priority short-term work is expected to start in early 2022.
Why is the basketball court and fitness equipment work happening first?
The basketball court and fitness equipment improvement work is proceeding as the first stage of work at Don Lucas Reserve. Council consulted with the community between November and December 2020 regarding upgrade to the fitness and sports facilities at Don Lucas Reserve. Feedback we received during this consultation has helped shape a concept design for an improved basketball court and new fitness equipment. This work is scheduled to start in early 2022.
